
Teaching
Luca Francesconi has taught for twenty five years in Italy’s conservatories and at the University of Ohio, in Rotterdam and in Strasburg. He holds master classes throughout Europe and the world.
In 2012 he was professor in residence at the Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, taking over Emanuel Nunes position: he ended these masterclasses conducting the orchestra in a concert with his own music and student pieces. In the same year he was professor in residence and featured composer at the new Academie Achantes at IRCAM in Paris. In 2013 he was composer in residence at the Casa de Musica of Porto.
Currently he is teaching composition at the Musikhögskolan (Lund University) in Malmö, where he directs the composition department.
